Music therapy has been found to be an engaging addition to any eldercare facility. Through our 60 minute "Music for the Brain" group music therapy sessions, we utilize live music interventions to engage with residents and facilitate engagement between residents. Our programs are structured the same every week to give residents the comfort of consistency. The more people participate, even in the case of persons experiencing memory loss. Session structure:
Individual music therapyIndividual music therapy sessions are tailored to meet the specific goals of a single person. While in group music therapy sessions, song choices are based off of the songs popular during the generation of the group, individual music therapy sessions allow the music therapist to utilize music that is important to the person being served. Individual sessions are offered for 30, 45, or 60 minutes and may include the cost of travel time. |
